Reform UK has progressed far beyond the tipping point

Yet there are problems. People are beginning to ask if Nigel Farage is preparing to renege on his principles.

There is a growing feeling of inevitability about the burgeoning success of Nigel Farage and Reform UK. Last week, Farage revealed ex-Tory minister Dame Andrea Jenkyns as the latest Conservative defector to Reform; this week it was Tim Montgomerie, party activist for 33 years, founder of ConservativeHome and adviser to Boris Johnson during his premiership. At this rate, few eyebrows would be raised if next week saw Kemi Badenoch cross the aisle.
