Staying in Glasgow over the weekend to watch Del Amitri, a favourite Scottish band of my youth, play a warm up gig at the Tramway, one of the city’s best arts venues, my attention was drawn to a small item on page two of the Scottish edition of the Times.
The news didn’t make much of a splash outside Scotland, or indeed in Scotland, but it presages a political earthquake.
Richard Tice, deputy to Reform leader Nigel Farage, said that after the next devolved Scottish elections in May, Reform will vote to install Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar as First Minister in Edinburgh.
