New gallery of the Islamic World at the British Museum
Two rooms at the British Museum will now be dedicated to the wealth and diversity of Islamic culture. Look out for an ‘astrolabe’ from the 18th century, marked with pointers to the most important stars and to the great cities of the Islamic world.
